The warmth is here, Spring has arrived!

The warmth is here, Spring has arrived!

Today is March 20...it's official, Spring Is Here! Since it is the Spring Equinox, have you tried some of the traditional myth activities? Like the annual challenge of balancing an egg on its end in an upright position or set a broomstick upright to stand on its own. Although it has been proven by many experts, it's still fun to do!

No matter what you do to celebrate the Spring Equinox, we as florists know this is the start of the colorful floral selection and one of the most beautiful seasons to be designing. Flowers such as daffodils, hyacinth, French tulips, crisp hydrangeas, dahlias, gardenias, lavender are now suddenly available! Due to their frailty, these types of flowers are generally only available from February to May. During other times of the year, they are smaller in size and a quarter of its peak brilliance.

Season matters everyone.

With the start of Spring, don't forget Easter is right around the corner. This year, Easter falls on April 1, which means there will be quite a few practical jokes going around. Be careful when hunting those eggs! Other than a treat or empty egg, there might be something more sinister at work! Given the current temperament, I hope everyone can keep it nice and civil. Nothing too scandalous.

As a florist, Spring is the perfect time to get flowers. You don't need to wait for another holiday like Mother's Day, just grab something small. It'll brighten up that room or office in an instant. Even though it's not dreary cold in Florida like it is up North, it's nice to bring the sunshine indoors. Wouldn't you say?
