At Edgewood Flowers, every arrangement we design tells a story—of love, of life, of remembrance. Over the years, we’ve been lucky to play a small role in some truly unforgettable moments shared by our customers. These stories are why we do what we do. Here are a few of our favorite memories that remind us just how meaningful personalized floral design can be.
From First Date to Forever Back in 2020, a customer walked in with stars in his eyes after a magical first date. He was so taken by the woman he had just met that he wanted to send her flowers the very next day. He knew her favorite blooms, and we created a custom bouquet delivered straight to her workplace. She was surprised (and adorably embarrassed) as her coworkers admired the beautiful arrangement.
From that moment, he became a regular, sending flowers once or twice a month without fail. About a year later, he returned with another special request: a bouquet for his proposal. We crafted something truly unique for the occasion, and she said yes! They eventually moved to the coast, but their story remains one of our most cherished. We love playing Cupid—and this love story will forever hold a place in our hearts.
A Wheel of Remembrance One of the most touching moments we’ve witnessed came through a family dealing with the loss of a loved one. They brought us a wooden wagon wheel with a very special meaning: each spoke represented a family member. When a loved one passed, they would remove a spoke and ask us to design a standing spray incorporating that wheel. Each time, they requested specific flowers to represent the person they were honoring.
In the middle of grief, these flowers became symbols of legacy and love. Being entrusted with such a deeply personal tradition is something we never take lightly. It’s a reminder that floral design is about so much more than beauty—it’s about memory, meaning, and healing.
Twelve Yellow Roses and a Whole Lot of Heart Since we opened our doors in 2014, one particular customer has become like family. Every year, without fail, he calls to order flowers for his wife's birthday and their wedding anniversary. The order is always the same: twelve yellow roses, no baby's breath (she hates it), and a unique design each time.
He gives our designer full creative freedom, and it’s a joy to come up with something new year after year. His reaction when he picks up the arrangement is always priceless—a mix of gratitude, excitement, and pure admiration. It's these consistent, thoughtful gestures that make floral work so rewarding.
Why We Love What We Do These stories remind us that flowers aren't just decorations; they’re moments made tangible. They’re love letters, farewells, celebrations, and memories wrapped in petals and greenery. Thank you to our incredible customers for letting us be a part of your most meaningful moments.
