Hate Attempts to Divide but Love Will Strengthens Us

Hate Attempts to Divide but Love Will Strengthens Us

So much has happened in the last few weeks... the tragic Pulse shooting right down the street... deadly flooding in Ghana... and now the terrifying attack at the Istanbul International Airport in Turkey. It seems all the current events revolve around bloodshed and hateful exchanges. Why have we come to this? Maybe it's out of fear. Fear of change, fear of difference, fear of the unknown. Fear can drive negativity into our hearts that turns a little disagreement into a full-on declaration of war.

As humans, in the last decade, we have advanced far greater than we have in the last century. Swift access to information through a few strokes on a 6-inch screen, it has widen our reach yet somehow narrow our mindset. Whether we like it or not, it has changed us: our daily routine, our opinions and most importantly our attitude. Some welcomes the information while some rejects the advancement in fear of losing stability.

No matter the reason, it does not warrant physical harm. The current cultural climate revealed the harm of what nonacceptance can do. It grows into a black hole of hate, making one vulnerable to unreasonable causes. Instead of rejecting, try see it in the light. There is nothing wrong with being different, there is nothing wrong with disagreements, it spikes challenges and inspires greatness.

As florists, we work with flowers everyday. Each stem is different. Some roses bloom bigger than others, it's petals are wrapped differently than others, the color of this carnation is a tad darker than its companions. Each stem has its personality and characteristic. The lifespan is short, maybe a couple of days, maybe a couple of weeks, but regardless of its appearance it strives to bloom for as long as it can as much as it can. A simple stem of flower is stronger than the human mentality. A rose does not care about its difference with a lily, it only wish to complement the design to bring a smile on someone's face. It accepts its fate and purpose to be a supporter just to make someone feel better. A single stem can "LOVE" more than a human can.

Let's love one another. Genetically, we are all the same. Simple cellular molecules that came together to form a being with internal organs tied together by skin and bones. Appearances can be deceiving.

Love him.

Love her.

Love you.

Love me.

Spread the Love.

Pray for the world.

For all the tears the Turkish people have shed, let's give them a hug and lift them back on their feet.
