A Hawaiian Lei to say goodbye for the Pulse victims

A Hawaiian Lei to say goodbye for the Pulse victims

It's been 10 days since the tragic shooting at Pulse night club... lot of changed in such a short amount of time. Orange Avenue has finally been reopened, the news crew are finally leaving, memorials and vigils have been held... and Orlando can finally start healing the wounds that were inflicted by hate. The world has felt our pain and the world responded with loving messages and prayers.

A floral wholesaler in New York, the Mrs. Blooms Direct Inc., wanted to express their heartfelt condolences. So they have asked us to place a fresh blue orchid lei on each of the white crosses by ORMC as a token of sympathy for the victims. See YouTube video. Most people think a Hawaiian lei is used to greet one another but it is actually done often at funerals in the Hawaiian Islands and in other Polynesian cultures as a symbolic way to say Aloha, goodbye, to a loved one. Any lei is appropriate to use because all leis symbolize love, respect and appreciation.

We thank Mrs. Blooms Direct Inc for letting us pass their message for them. And we will also be selling the blue lei at our shop (#OrlandoLove Orchid Lei) to raise funds for those in need during this tragic time. Each lei is $49 and all net proceeds will go to OneOrlando Fund.
